Vienna day 6 - 9 May 25
Hi all,
Well, this is our last full day in Vienna, before we head for Prague tomorrow morning - it has been a great second visit for us and an eye opening first visit for Holly.
This morning we saw the Spanish Horses (mitt music) at the Hofburg palace. These magnificent animals have been bred at the Hofburg for 460 years and can all be traced back to six original stallions in Spain. The venue is stunning of course and we were lucky to have booked front row seats some time ago.
This was a training session for the big concerts later in the year, that we will miss unfortunately, however it gave us a glimpse of the talents of both horse and rider. Pity we couldn’t hear much of the commentary but otherwise a good event.
We the.took a stroll, after a tea and coffee break, to the museum quarter.
Before a late lunch, then watching Carlton win the footy (bugger) and a rest before our dinner booked at the Bodega Spanish restaurant just around the corner in Judenplatz.
