Munich last day, 3 May 25

 Hi all

Today we had a recovery day, getting ready to head to Vienna tomorrow. We have loved Munich, a very clean and well organised city, in particular the public transport system, which is truely integrated - take note Hobart, you have 1/2 a century to catch up on!

We ventured to the English Garden, the largest city park in the world, and the Munich Museum, before our first rainy day set in.

Then after an U Bahn trip back, we took refuge in a great Italian restaurant, Gigi in Isartor, yes I know we are in Germany, but if the rule says I can’t go to Italy every year, there have to be some compensations.

The lunch was expensive, thank Felicity for shouting, but superb. A good time was had by all before we returned to our apartment to watch the election results, Melbourne, then Collingwood playing. It was a two out of three result!

As I said, tomorrow we head for Vienna, via Salzburg, arriving late afternoon - so maybe no missive tomorrow. Less than a week in, we are all enjoying Germany and looking forward to Austria and beyond.

All our love from the travelling trio ❤️⛪️🧳🚇
